The Main Event
Sunday, May 7th 5 - 10pm
The ceremony and reception will both be taking place at the Prospect Park Boathouse. The venue includes both indoor and outdoor space and, as there is no A/C or heat at the venue, please dress for the weather. For those driving, enter the Park at the Empire Road entrance. There will be security at the entrance who will point you in the direction of the parking and the boathouse. For those taking the subway, the Prospect Park B/Q/S station is less than a five-minute walk to the venue. For those getting dropped off, enter at the Lincoln Road entrance (at Lincoln Road & Ocean Avenue).
Additional Events
In addition to the main event, we will have a few informal gatherings for those in town and that would like to join.
- Drinks and hors d’oeuvresSaturday, May 6th 4pm - 6pmIf you are in town Saturday, join us for a few hours of drinks, hors d’oeuvres, and merriment at Bklyn Commons.
- Smorgasburg BrunchSunday, May 7th 11amIf it isn’t raining… join us at Smorgasburg in Prospect Park for an early picnic brunch. Smorgasburg is a weekly (very Brooklyn) food truck rally. Peruse and grab a bite at any of the vendors, and we will gather by the picnic tables. Enter Prospect Park at the Lincoln Road entrance (at Lincoln Road & Ocean Avenue).
- After PartySunday, May 7th 10pm - ??For those wanting to keep the celebration going, we will make our way to Parkside, a nice local bar located one block from the Park.
Accommodations
For those looking for a place to stay in Brooklyn, we have set up hotel blocks at two hotels in Downtown Brooklyn, with reduced rates available for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights. Both are about a 15-minute direct subway ride or drive from the boathouse. Also check out airbnb for additional rental options that are within walking distance of the park.
